Philip Helm has taken up the position of Regional Development Director (NW) with the Places for People Group from 1st November 2007 (www.placesforpeople.co.uk).

In August of 2006 I identified a niche in the market and created Simply Housing essentially to broker developments between small developers and RSLs. In the 14 months from August 2006 to November 2007 we have facilitated the transfer of some 523 residential units (£62 million) on 16 developments. In a relatively short period of time we have proved that there is a niche for small developers to deliver good quality affordable homes to RSLs outside of their procurement frameworks.
